Liverpool are triumphant over Burnley after winning 3-0 away at Turf Moor.
This game very much mirrored the Arsenal game with Liverpool pressing and having plenty of chances and then eventually a deflected cross from Alexander-Arnold to put the Reds 1-0 up in the 33rd minute. Jurgen Klopp didn’t even know that the goal was given as an own goal and not Trent’s until the Sky Sports interviewer told him!
Then just four minutes after the initial own goal Mane scored to put the Reds 2-0 up in the 37th minute.
For the rest of the game, the Reds pressed and kept the ball well with plenty of chances playing really good football. In the 80th minute, Bobby scored a beautiful goal from the edge of the box after him passing it to the Egyptian King, whilst Salah
held the ball released it back onto Firmino and there went the shot into the back of the net!
We have our clean sheet, now let’s keep this momentum after the international break…that was a very solid performance from the Reds today. I predicted 3-1 to Liverpool but we have the clean sheet so I will accept being incorrect!
