Benfica defender Andre Almeida has revealed his desire to move to the Premier League, and his got a couple of sides on his radar.
As quoted in the Liverpool Echo, Almedia said: “I always had the dream of going to the Premier League. I really like Liverpool and Manchester United for their history. I also like Real Madrid and Barcelona, but I prefer the Premier League.”
We can’t foresee Liverpool making a move for Almeida, however, aged 29, he could be a solid back-up for Trent Alexander-Arnold, one of which is needed after Nathaniel Clyne suffered a horrendous knee injury during preseason, which would allow Joe Gomez to focus on becoming Virgil van Dijk’s first choice partner.
